Massage Therapist- Hospice

Provide therapeutic massage as an adjunctive therapy to hospice patients under physician orders within an inter-disciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities include delivering massage services, monitoring therapy effectiveness and any adverse reactions, performing equipment setup and safety checks, documenting activities in patient records, educating patients and families about massage-related topics, and contributing to performance improvement and professional development within the department. Requires completion of a state-approved massage therapy program, a Virginia massage license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. No prior experience required; flexible schedule in a hospital setting; collaboration with hospital staff to support patient comfort and well-being.
