Job Summary
Provide spa services in a timely manner, utilizing proper draping procedures and treatment protocols while remaining quiet through treatment. Educate guests on treatment benefits and how to continue the spa experience, then recommend and sell spa products. Set up workstations with necessary supplies and courteously accommodate all guest requests, including handling complaints to ensure satisfaction. Ask guests about contraindications before beginning service and maintain cleanliness of the spa, including transporting soiled linens. Let the Front Desk Lead of all supply and material needs and attend all meetings, trainings, and workshops as required by the Spa Director.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 500 hours of massage training from an accredited/approved massage school
- Washington State Massage Practitioner license or Idaho Certification
- Current CPR and first aid certifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- An excellent attendance history free of no call/no show policy violations
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong understanding/knowledge base of the spa industry, services, and products with an emphasis of all massage and body treatments offered at the spa
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, often within the same work week
- Ability to work overtime as necessary to fulfill priority tasks

Desired Qualifications
- One to three years previous experience in a spa, private practice, doctor's office, and/or chiropractor's office
- Certifications in a variety of massage modalities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
