Job Summary
Maintain a high-energy presence on the sales floor to hang, fold, shelve, and peg merchandise to planogram standards while ensuring product availability. Greet customers, describe items, recommend products, and finalize sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments using department-specific technology. Clean the store and merchandise, including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, and trash removal, to keep the sales floor appealing. Assist the management team with daily store operations and act as a subject matter expert for general merchandise. Full-time positions require at least 30 hours weekly year-round with flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in a retail setting preferred or a graduate of the Best Seller Program
- Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment
- Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs
- High-energy, friendly personality, with strong communication skills to interact with a variety of people
- Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required
- Strong interpersonal, creativity, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
