Job Summary
Prepare, draft, file, and serve pleadings and discovery in state and federal court cases while managing legal research and document review. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, scheduling court appearances, depositions, and mediation, and facilitate the settlement process from client enrollment to payment. Correspond with clients, courts, and counsel via telephone, email, and letter, and maintain electronic and physical case files within the company software. Manage case expenses, invoices, billing, and time tracking, and notarize client or attorney documents as necessary. This onsite full-time role in Houston, TX requires a bilingual Spanish speaker with five years of mass tort litigation experience and a Texas Notary Public license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a litigation paralegal
- Specific experience in mass tort cases
- Bachelor or Associate degree
- Paralegal certificate
- Notary Public, State of Texas
- Ability to perform well in a high level, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
