Job Summary
Evaluate coverage on sophisticated insurance products, including long-tail bodily injury, property damage, construction defects, and emerging risks like PFAS and opioids. Hire and manage counsel to defend insureds, assess damages with outside experts, and formulate strategies for favorable claim resolution. Negotiate with third parties while advising business partners on exposures and potential product enhancements. Support claims adjusters, managers, and underwriters as a coverage resource. This role requires 3+ years of experience in legal, insurance, or environmental claims and is located in New Jersey or Illinois with a base salary ranging from $72,500 to $100,000.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Legal, Insurance, Construction Defect or Environmental experience
- The ability to handle complex claims involving diverse coverage issues related to GL and Environmental policies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Investigation skills
- Must be primarily in the office
