Job Summary
The Personal Training Instructor provides individualized fitness coaching to gym members, designing and delivering tailored training sessions that align with client goals and abilities. Responsible for maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment, coordinating session schedules with gym management, and assisting with client bookings and rosters in Rock Gym Pro. The role includes marketing offerings through CRG’s website, social media, and in-gym channels, and proactively promoting services to grow the client base. Tasks include preparing and resetting the training area, ensuring equipment is wiped down and stored properly, and performing additional duties as assigned by management. The position requires a flexible schedule (early mornings/evenings/weekends) and 2+ years of teaching/coaching experience or a 200-hour certification; CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are preferred. Climbing-specific knowledge is helpful but not required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of teaching/coaching experience or a 200-hour certification from an accredited school/training program
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, preferred
- Flexible schedule, including potential early mornings/evenings/weekends
- Knowledge of current fitness methodologies and coaching best practices (plus)
- Friendly, approachable, and client-focused demeanor
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Climbing-specific knowledge is helpful but not required
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
