Job Summary
Coach youth climbers at Central Rock Gym by delivering fundamentals, building a solid curriculum, leading practices with confidence, and fostering a fun, welcoming CRG youth community. Responsibilities include creating weekly lesson plans, communicating with coaching staff about scheduling and athlete progress, completing SafeSport training for youth coaches, adhering to the coaches’ code of conduct, and performing other duties as required. Ideal candidates bring experience with youth in educational settings, strong behavior management, solid communication skills (in-person and remote), at least 2 years of climbing experience, Top Rope belaying proficiency, and a commitment to long-term professional development in the program.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with youth in an educational setting
- Strong behavior management skills with youth of all ages
- Strong in-person and remote communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of climbing experience
- Weekday afternoon availability and willingness to work weekends
- Proficiency in top rope belaying
- Careful attention to detail, ability to analyze movement and provide insightful feedback
