Job Summary
Lead youth climbing practices by introducing fundamentals, building skills, and implementing weekly lesson plans to foster a welcoming environment for athletes of all ages. Create and execute a solid curriculum while maintaining strict adherence to the coaches' code of conduct and completing SafeSport training. Communicate consistently with coaching staff regarding scheduling, practice logistics, and athlete progress. Ensure daily operations reflect careful attention to detail, including top rope belaying and insightful movement feedback. Maintain behavior management skills for youth of all ages with availability for weekdays, weekends, and remote interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with youth in an educational setting
- Strong behavior management skills with youth of all ages
- Strong in-person and remote communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of climbing experience
- Weekday afternoon availability and willingness to work weekends
- Proficiency in top rope belaying
- Careful attention to detail
- ability to analyze movement
