Job Summary
The Group Exercise Instructor delivers high-quality group fitness classes aligned with Central Rock Gym’s standards, fostering an engaging, inclusive member experience. Responsibilities include teaching classes, coordinating with management on schedules, assisting with class bookings and rosters in Rock Gym Pro, promoting classes via CRG’s website, social media, and in-gym channels, and maintaining a positive space. Prepare and reset the studio, ensure equipment is wiped down and stored properly, and provide dependable sub coverage as needed. Must be flexible with early mornings/evenings/weekends; requires 2+ years of teaching experience and a 200-hour certification, plus knowledge of current fitness practices and strong customer-service skills.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of teaching experience
- 200-hour certification from an accredited school/training program
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant fitness advancements and teaching practices
- Friendly, approachable, and member-focused demeanor
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Climbing-specific knowledge is helpful but not required
