Job Summary
Senior Route Setter leads and co-leads setting days and forerunning sessions, sets routes up to 5.13a and boulders up to V8, ensures grading accuracy and safety, mentors Assistant and Apprentice Setters, supports rotation planning and workload organization, maintains a safe work zone, and communicates priorities with Head Setter and management. Responsibilities also include assisting with competitions and events, upholding CRG safety protocols, and representing the senior team in daily operations. Requires 4+ years in route setting, certification considerations (PRS 2, WAH 1, USAC Level 2+ preferred), ability to work at heights, proficiency with power tools, and strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional route setting experience
- PRS 2, WAH 1 certification
- USAC Level 2+ certification preferred
- Ability to set routes up to 5.13a and boulders up to V8
- Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working at heights of 40+ feet on ropes, ladders, and lifts
- Skilled with power tools (impact drivers, angle grinders, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
