Mass Posting - Head Route Setter

The Head Route Setter leads the local route setting team at Central Rock Gym, overseeing all route setting operations and maintenance to ensure consistency, safety, and quality across routes and boulders. Responsibilities include leading, scheduling, and supervising the setting team; forerunning and setting routes up to 5.13a and problems up to V7; coordinating with management on staffing, scheduling, and competitions; maintaining hold inventory and overseeing hold cleaning and wall preparation; conducting safety checks and ensuring staff compliance; staying up to date on setting trends and industry standards; and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include a flexible schedule with early morning and afternoon availability, 2+ years of climbing and route setting experience, PRS 2 and WAH 2 certifications (USAC 1 certification preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights of 40+ feet. The role is located at Riverside, NY and Chelsea, NY with in-person responsibilities.
