Job Summary
As an Event Staff at Central Rock Gym, you will foster a fun and welcoming environment by delivering excellent customer service to members and guests while ensuring smooth execution of special events at the gym. Key duties include greeting members and guests, facilitating instruction and orientations during events (teaching rock climbing basics), developing proficiency in top rope belaying, processing registrations and waivers, issuing climbing gear, assisting with post-event cleaning, and performing other duties as needed. The role requires a flexible schedule with availability for nights and weekends during booked events, a friendly and energetic demeanor, strong communication and customer service skills, experience working with children and large groups, comfort with heights of 40+ feet, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks. A self-motivated, independent, team-oriented attitude is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible schedule – ability to work nights and weekends during booked events
- Friendly, approachable, patient, and energetic personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience working with children and comfortable working around large groups of people
- Comfortable being at heights of 40+ feet and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. a plus
