Job Summary
As an Event Staff, you will foster a fun and welcoming environment by providing top-notch customer service to members and guests and ensuring smooth flow of special events at the gym. Duties include greeting members and guests, facilitating instruction and orientations during events (teaching rock climbing basics), developing proficiency in top rope belaying, processing registrations and waivers, issuing climbing gear, assisting in post-event cleaning, and performing other duties as required. The role requires a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and a friendly, energetic demeanor with strong communication and customer-service skills. Must be comfortable around heights and able to lift up to 50 lbs; experience working with children and large groups is preferred. This is a part-time, hourly position at Central Rock Gym in Framingham, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible schedule – ability to work nights and weekends during booked events
- Friendly, approachable, patient, and energetic personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience working with children and comfortable working around large groups of people
- Comfortable being at heights of 40+ feet and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. a plus
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks
- Self-motivated to work, self-directed and independent as well as a Team Player
