Job Summary
Assistant Route Setter aids the Head Setter in daily operations: setting, stripping, cleaning, and organizing holds; forerunning and setting routes up to 5.12 and boulders up to V6+; maintaining quality, consistency, and grading accuracy; assisting with scheduling and workflow; helping with competition setup and execution; performing maintenance (e.g., fixing spinners, inspecting auto belays); following safety protocols and employing fall protection; staying informed on climbing trends and techniques; contributing to facility upkeep and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of climbing and route setting experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights of 40+ feet
- Competent with power tools (impact drivers, angle grinders)
- Flexible schedule with early morning and afternoon availability
