Job Summary
Mason Superintendent responsible for high-level management of field leaders, foremen, and the open-shop team to strengthen and prolong the life of structures. Leads pre-project planning, disseminates plans to crews, motivates and coordinates activities, ensures proper tool/equipment use, provides crew training, assists Project Managers with production-rate evaluations, and completes essential paperwork. Oversees interview and hiring of field employees, upholds a Safety 24/7 culture, and maintains client and project-team communications. Projects typically involve concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and structural strengthening across commercial and industrial settings. Requires substantial construction experience, ability to supervise multiple projects, and the capacity to read and execute drawings and specifications. Demonstrates leadership, accountability, and a collaborative approach to achieve goals while fostering safety and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in general construction
- at least 5 years in a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent role
- experience in concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, facade restoration
- ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously (4+ projects)
- ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and contract specifications
- strong safety and leadership skills
- proficient in look-ahead scheduling and construction documentation
- intermediate computer skills and construction math
