Job Summary
Building and Grounds Supervisor responsible for the district's maintenance, grounds, custodial and facilities operations. Oversees landscaping, supervises custodial/maintenance staff, and monitors and maintains HVAC, fire safety, security, and related systems. Partners with the COO to plan and schedule maintenance, establish standards, manage budgets and contracts, supervise outside contractors, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with laws and safety requirements. Leads staff training, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement of facilities to support safe, clean school environments for students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma is required
- At least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in building maintenance and construction which involved facility planning, construction, maintenance and operations
- Experience in a school district environment of comparable size is preferred
- Project planning and implementation experience preferred
- Experience hiring, developing and supervising staff
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
- Valid Ohio driver's license
