Job Summary
The Martial Arts Instructor will provide daily martial arts instruction to students aged 4–18, supervise groups, demonstrate techniques, and explain principles behind moves. Responsibilities include creating daily lesson plans, enforcing safety and behavior rules, delivering engaging, age-appropriate instruction, demonstrating excellent communication with students and families, collaborating with fellow staff, and modeling the organization’s values. The role requires maintaining a safe learning environment, following the code of conduct, and demonstrating flexibility and teamwork, with a willingness to travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children
- Martial Arts teaching experience (1 – 5 years)
- A Child abuse clearance and criminal checks are required
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required) or higher
- Teaching certification (preferred but not required)
- Be willing to travel
