Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive analyses synthesizing legal, financial, and systemic risks to assess the condition of depository institutions and determine collateral acceptability for Discount Window lending. Independently evaluate complex market factors and regulatory issues to develop recommendations on credit risk management, lending policies, and intraday credit exposure. Manage projects with shifting priorities while communicating findings to senior leadership and external banking contacts. Maintain advanced knowledge of payment systems and credit risk policies to support strategic initiatives and ensure adherence to Board of Governors' standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • 6 years of job-related experience evaluating financial institutions' financial condition
  • extensive knowledge of financial statements and ratio analysis
  • Financial institution supervisory or legal experience
  • knowledge of payment systems
  • Very strong critical thinking traits, including analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and meet competing deadlines
  • strong attention to detail
  • Strong team orientation
  • Awareness of policies, practices, trends, and technologies affecting the banking industry generally
  • understanding of the implications of changing business and market conditions
  • Thinking outside of the box to develop creative solutions to emerging problems
  • US Citizen or a permanent resident who also resided in the United States for at least three (3) years
  • eligibility to pass a two-phase security screening including physical examination, drug screening, reference checks, and security investigation
  • eligibility for work and residency verification
  • ability to comply with all applicable information handling rules
