Job Summary
Marketplace Senior New Business Development Manager, Acquisition at TargetLead end-to-end development of new business for Target+'s marketplace by identifying, engaging, and contracting DTC brands, vendors and retailers; build and execute go-to-market strategies, leverage analytic and negotiation skills to secure meaningful partnerships; collaborate with Marketplace Partner Growth & Management and enterprise merchant teams to address gaps and stay ahead of trends; require depth in digital marketplaces, merchandising, and complex contract negotiations; hybrid work arrangement with onsite Target HQ in Minnesota and virtual work days.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketplaces and/or merchandising OR 4+ years of experience in sales/business development roles required
- Experience managing corporate contracts including facilitating legal, operational and/or financial terms and policies required
- Experience negotiating complex business agreements
- Strong communication skills, both internal and externally facing, across all levels of an organization required
- Experience managing a wide pipeline of external prospective vendors/business partners strongly preferred
- Salesforce Salescloud experience is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build complex go-to-market sourcing strategies based off financial and profitability goals preferred
- Strong project management skills are preferred
