Job Summary
Marketing Specialist on Barr’s Corporate Business Development team in Minneapolis in a hybrid role. Responsible for synthesizing market and economic intelligence, helping define market priorities, coordinating client- and market-focused initiatives, and translating Barr’s engineering and environmental consulting services into clear, compelling market offerings that strengthen client relationships and drive long-term growth. Works with Corporate Business Development, Communications, and Events teams and business unit leadership to shape and position Barr’s services within priority market sectors, with primary focus on the power market. Activities include market research and intelligence, go-to-market strategy development, coordinating market sector strategies, client loyalty initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to support go-to-market and strategic positioning. Requires strategic, proactive, detail-oriented mindset, strong client focus, and ability to influence without direct authority. Travel about 10% and hybrid work arrangement; located at Barr’s Minneapolis, MN office; education and experience aligned with five+ years in relevant roles; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Education: bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
- Experience: five or more years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting business development and communications functions
- Experience leading activities within cross-functional teams
- Current, valid driver’s license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
