Job Summary

Marketing Project Manager responsible for overseeing planning, coordination, prioritization, and execution of marketing and communications projects that support the university’s strategic goals, brand initiatives, and storytelling. Acts as central operational partner across the division to ensure projects move from concept through completion, improving communication, workflow visibility, and cross-functional alignment. Manages intake, prioritization, scheduling, and execution of projects across multiple teams; maintains project plans, production schedules, campaign calendars, and reporting; champions project management platforms (e.g., Asana); coordinates timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation; supports university-wide campaigns, events, and strategic communications; collaborates with creative, digital, content, social media, web, video, photography teams; identifies opportunities to streamline workflows and establish scalable project management standards; maintains organized project records and documentation; assists with campaign reporting and operational analytics. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and offers a starting salary of $44,000 with potential commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, timelines, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong working knowledge of project management systems and workflow platforms, with ability to manage projects, communication, task assignments, reporting, and operational coordination with Asana
  • Experience with platforms such as Monday.com, Trello, Basecamp, or similar systems
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to build positive working relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with campus partners, leadership teams, creative staff, and external constituents while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, deadlines, and organizational needs
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in higher education, nonprofit, agency, or creative services environments
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies and process improvement frameworks
  • Experience supporting cross-functional creative, digital, content, or communications teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify workflow inefficiencies, improve operational processes, and implement scalable project management solutions
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, project management, public relations, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
