Job Summary
Develop the long-term market strategy for the A&D segment to support business growth and achieve GBU roadmap targets. Manage and implement the Global/Regional Market Strategic Plan while interfacing with cross-functional teams to maintain consistency with profitability and development activities. Build a pipeline of growth programs by prioritizing initiatives based on market attractiveness and resource needs, then drive the full marketing process from market assessment through launch and go-to-market execution. Synthesize competitive intelligence from customer interactions and industry data to define value propositions and establish communication strategies. Recommend acquisition and divestiture options for strategic portfolio management and maintain relations with key customers and distributors.
Required Qualifications
- in-depth understanding of market needs
- develop, manage and implement the Global/Regional Market Strategic Plan
- interface with other functions to maintain consistency with profitability targets, footprint strategy, development activities and overall GBU vision and targets
- develop pipeline of Growth Programs
- work with cross functional team (CTD, R&D, ADL, and Frontline)
- prioritize programs based on market attractiveness, resource needs and Materials GBU's unique value proposition
- Look for new segments to investigate for potential market entry
- Recommends acquisition and divestiture options as part of strategic portfolio management
- Collect and understand market data & needs through direct interactions with customers, industry associations and pertinent conferences/consortia
- Synthesize market data from multiple sources to form competitive intelligence and identify opportunities to be pursued and associated technology development needs
- From customer and market needs derive the value proposition of Solvay's present and future product portfolio
- Establish generic communication strategy for own market(s) together with the communication team and other applicable business functions
- Build sales pitch books and customer facing presentations to drive new revenue generating leads
- Drive full Marketing Process: 1) Market Assessment (Fact Book), 2) Validation and 3) Launch Plan for Market Entry (Marketing Mix). 4) Go to Market
- Drive stakeholders' buy-in through each milestone of the Marketing Process: Business Lines, R&D, Communications, Regional Frontline, and Customer Technical Development
- Manage and drive alignment between assets portfolio and strategy
- Work with Product Line managers for alignment on product portfolio strategy and pricing
- Maintain relations with key customers and distributors on marketing and strategy related fields
