Job Summary

Develop annual marketing and communications strategies that support program participation, stakeholder engagement, and customer acquisition. Translate program goals and stakeholder needs into clear messaging, then develop and maintain comprehensive marketing plans and outreach approaches. Coordinate and deliver communications across email, direct mail, web, and social media while creating collateral, case studies, and training materials. Serve as a liaison between outreach partners and program leadership to align activities with objectives, gather stakeholder feedback, and track engagement outcomes. Collaborate cross-functionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, consistent messaging that enhances brand awareness and program growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience supporting the development and execution of communications strategies, marketing plans, and stakeholder engagement initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple communications projects and coordinating deliverables across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated, strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts into clear, audience-appropriate messaging
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in a variety of formats, including writing, editing, speaking, active listening, and internal coordination
  • Working knowledge of marketing communications best practices across email, social media, web, public relations, and stakeholder communications
  • Demonstrated organization, project management, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, and develop creative communication solutions
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with email marketing and social media platform
  • A drug screen

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related discipline
  • Digital marketing certifications (Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, Hootsuite, or similar)
  • Professional certifications in marketing, communications, content strategy, or public relations
  • Experience supporting utility, renewable energy, sustainability, climate, or clean energy programs
  • Experience developing communications for regulated industries or government-sponsored initiatives
  • Experience planning and coordinating stakeholder events, public meetings, webinars, workshops, or outreach campaigns
  • Experience working with community-based organizations, contractors, vendors, or public-sector stakeholders
  • Familiarity with solar energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, or incentive program concepts
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, or similar systems
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and digital analytics tools
  • Knowledge of communication performance measurement, stakeholder engagement metrics, and campaign effectiveness reporting
  • Experience developing brand messaging frameworks, communication toolkits, and stakeholder-facing resources
