Marketing Manager (Hybrid)

Job Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading strategic and tactical marketing efforts for a designated portfolio of communities with a focus on new development and acquisitions. This includes developing go-to-market and repositioning strategies to drive awareness, qualified traffic, leases, occupancy, and revenue performance. The role requires strong project management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience collaborating with internal and external partners. Responsibilities include overseeing multi-channel marketing plans, managing marketing budgets, tracking KPIs, and ensuring the consistent application of AvalonBay’s consumer brands across all touchpoints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of marketing experience with responsibilities aligned to this role.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, multiple stakeholders, and tight timelines.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to lead through influence, build collaborative relationships, and drive alignment across teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Marketing experience within multi‐site, real‐estate‐based service industries such as multifamily housing, hospitality, assisted living, or retail/mixed‐use environments.
- Experience managing external creative and digital agencies, and vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, analytics tools, CRM or leasing software, and website content management systems.
