Job Summary
Marketing Legal Attorney (Vice President, Assistant General Counsel) provides transactional and regulatory legal support to JPMorgan Chase’s Marketing, Communications, Brand and Paid Media teams. Drafts and negotiates a broad range of marketing/advertising agreements (vendor/professional services, sponsorships, speaker arrangements, releases/licenses, co-marketing, social media, talent/influencer, content creation, licensing, and media buying). Advises on digital media buying projects, compliance risk, and IAB/FTC advertising regulations; develops subject-matter expertise in US marketing regulations; collaborates with cross-functional teams to address privacy and advertising technology issues; manages workload in a fast-paced environment; requires JD and 5+ years of experience. All candidates must be licensed to practice law in country of employment and pass conflicts clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience, including contract drafting and negotiations
- Deep transactional experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on vendor and supplier agreements
- Experience in digital media, marketing, and advertising legal matters
- Familiarity with IAB standards, FTC, and advertising regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Proficient collaboration skills and team-minded perspective
- All candidates for roles in the Legal department must be licensed to practice law in the country of employment and successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment
