Marketing Global Category Manager

Job Summary
Lead global category strategy for key Castrol categories, defining sourcing approaches and commercial models including rate cards and blended rates. Manage end-to-end category operations by leading teams to optimize supply chain risk, improve value, and drive sustainability targets. Provide strategic steer in major negotiations with global and regional suppliers while acting as the senior commercial partner to Marketing leadership. Cultivate robust supplier relationships and oversee change initiatives to unlock triple bottom line value. Build high-performing teams through data-led performance ownership and foster collaboration across procurement, regional, and business resources to ensure high efficiency and strategy adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Degree educated - something related to Business, Marketing, Procurement
- Proven experience in Marketing category procurement
- Critical thinking with excellent commercial competence
- An understanding of working in and navigating complex multi-national businesses
- The ability to evaluate innovative solutions and manage risk
- Judgement in order to translate business requirements into a strategic category plan
- Leading the category and lead their team in managing the category
- Leading end to end execution of the category strategy across the organization
- Senior stakeholder networking and influencing skills
- Regular interaction with external suppliers and representing Castrol externally
