Job Summary
Marketing & Fundraising Officer (Maternity Cover) for YMCA Norfolk in Norwich. Fixed-term contract for 9 months, 22.5 hours per week, with an element of home working. Responsibilities include driving income and engagement through fundraising campaigns, partnerships, social media content, websites, and internal communications; developing and submitting funding bids (up to £10,000); creating compelling stories, press releases, case studies, and promotional materials; and nurturing relationships with local businesses, schools, faith groups, and community partners. The role focuses on marketing, fundraising, and community engagement to transform young lives and strengthen YMCA Norfolk’s impact across multiple platforms. Essential skills include marketing/fundraising experience, social media management, excellent communication, organisation, and proficiency with Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft Office; desirable: experience writing funding bids and knowledge of Metricool.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in marketing, fundraising, or the third sector
- Proven experience managing social media and content scheduling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Confident using tools such as Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
