Job Summary
Develop and execute marketing strategies to generate placement referrals and improve facility census by engaging discharge planners, case managers, and physicians. Oversee advertising, promotion, and promotional material production while researching healthcare trends to capitalize on market opportunities. Establish goals to ensure profitability and monitor results to adjust strategies based on market reactions and competitive activity. Prepare activity reports and conduct surveys to evaluate new concepts or services. Manage the marketing group structure to fulfill objectives and achieve satisfactory census goals within designated budgets.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing in the skilled nursing industry
- Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, and volume
- Must have exceptional personal sales skills, communication and customer service skills, and be empathetic
- Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, families, discharge planners, physicians, staff and outside resources and agencies
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which includes an annual TB screening and physical examination
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
