Job Summary
Marketing Director role at Legacy at Town Creek in Palestine, TX. Lead development and execution of marketing and public relations programs for a nursing facility, with emphasis on community relations, advertising, regulatory compliance, and resident/family communications. Responsible for planning, organizing, and interpreting marketing goals, policies, and procedures; coordinating with staff and government agencies; and maintaining positive personnel relations and employee morale. Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing/public relations (or 5 years in healthcare marketing in lieu), strong communication skills, knowledge of healthcare laws and nursing facility administration, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders to promote quality care and sound operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing/public relations or equivalent
- Five years of marketing/public relations experience in a healthcare setting may be recognized in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
- Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, policies, education, community relations, demonstration, organization structure, and government relations as they relate to nursing facility operations
- Ability to plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts to community groups/agencies
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources, analyze information and make recommendations to the Administrator
- Ability to implement and maintain effective marketing and public relations programs
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
