Job Summary
Designer to join the Communications & Design team in the San Diego office. Maintain and elevate brand standards across print and digital platforms, conceptualize and design marketing and communications materials (presentations, brochures, flyers, emails, digital assets, and templates), translate complex information into clear visual storytelling and information graphics, develop materials supporting tenant experience initiatives (environmental graphics, wayfinding, signage), collaborate with senior leadership to create executive-level PowerPoint presentations, support photo and video shoots to capture building and brand assets, coordinate ARE presence at events, manage projects from concept through final delivery with clear stakeholder communication, partner with external vendors to ensure successful execution of marketing projects, develop tools/templates/workflows to improve efficiency and strengthen brand consistency, maintain and organize the brand asset/content library, balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred
- 5+ years of professional design experience
- B2B experience required
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design, presentation work, and information graphics
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- After Effects and Premiere are a plus
- Professional-level expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Exceptional typography, layout, and information design skills
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization abilities in a deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and openness to feedback
- Experience working with senior-level executives is a plus
- Ability to work independently with initiative and strong follow-through
- Willingness to learn and adopt new tools, software, and AI technologies to enhance workflow and creative output
- Experience in email marketing, web design, and social media marketing would be a plus
