Job Summary
Lead content strategy, storytelling, and product messaging for Valley First Credit Union across digital, social, PR, and internal channels. Develop and deliver compelling communications that bring the brand, mission, and impact to life while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business priorities. Create and oversee written and visual content, including executive communications, email copy, and campaign materials, supported by an integrated editorial calendar. Proactively identify and develop stories showcasing member success, employee achievements, and community impact through stakeholder interviews. Oversee PR strategy, media coordination, and crisis communications to protect organizational reputation. Collaborate with Channel Marketing, Compliance, HR, and leadership to refine messaging and drive engagement. This Tier 10 role requires 7+ years of experience in marketing communications within regulated environments and offers a competitive hourly rate of $32.00 to $42.00.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in marketing communications, corporate communications, content, or related roles
- Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, typically with advance notice
- Full Time, typically 40 hours per week
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time
- The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; typing; viewing a computer screen and reading
- Climb/descend stairs in an emergency situation
- Operate routine office equipment including personal computers, copy machines, mobile and landline phones, calculator and others as needed
- Maintain working on a computer for six to eight hours daily, on average
- Work extended hours if required or requested by management
- Regular, reliable and timely attendance
- Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise
- Perform job functions independently, or with limited supervision, and work effectively either on own or as part of a team
- Read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
- Speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence
- Effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
- Exercise highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in regulated or complex environments preferred (financial services a plus)
