Job Summary
Marketing and Communications Specialist responsible for supporting Lane College’s strategic communications, branding, digital engagement, and promotional initiatives. Develop and execute institutional marketing and communications campaigns; create compelling written and visual content for print, digital, social media, email marketing, and web; ensure adherence to brand standards; support admissions, advancement, athletics, academic departments, student affairs, and campus events; manage official Lane College social media, update website content, and capture multimedia content for institutional use. Draft press releases and coordinate media coverage; assist with crisis and internal communications; build relationships with media outlets and stakeholders; collaborate across departments to promote campus programs and events; provide on-site communications support during events and track marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field
- Minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or digital media
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital communication tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design and content management systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
