Job Summary
The Marketing and Communications Intern will assist within the Development Department of Ward Home focusing on communications activities such as researching media opportunities and identifying speaking engagements to enhance public awareness. Responsibilities include supporting event details for fundraising events, generating writing samples for communication materials, utilizing Salsa Labs for database management, and contributing to marketing materials. Ideal candidates will possess strong Microsoft Office skills, be organized, dependable, and have a passion for learning.
Required Qualifications
- Student at the college junior or senior level pursuing a degree in communications or marketing
- Knowledgeable using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Enthusiastic to learn about Ward Home
- Ability to speak clearly and write with clarity
- Dependable and able to work well with others
- Acts in a professional manner
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Publisher preferred
- Well organized
