Job Summary
The Marketing and Communications Intern will support the Development Department through communications activities, including researching media opportunities and identifying speaking engagements. The intern will assist in planning and executing special events, including a major fundraising event, and will generate a portfolio of writing samples for newsletters and social media. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with a particular focus on Excel and Word. The position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to earn college credits while gaining professional experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current college junior or senior working toward a degree in communications or marketing
- Knowledgeable using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to speak clearly and write with clarity
- Dependable and able to work well with others
- Well organized
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Publisher is preferred
- Enthusiastic to learn about Ward Home
