Job Summary
Maintain current media lists and execute media placements for the hotel through news releases and personal contacts. Serve as the hotel spokesperson for official statements, especially during crisis situations, and submit stories/photos to media regularly while monitoring news coverage. Develop business and leisure travel promotions, update the hotel website, and maintain an electronic library of the Executive Committee. Coordinate special events to maximize publicity and assist in producing sales support materials and F&B collateral. Evaluate requests for hotel donations and represent the hotel on major civic programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Marketing Communications/Public Relation or 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly reliable in thorough execution and follow-through
- Ability to work well in stressful & high-pressure situations
- A team player & builder
- A motivator & self-starter
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
