Job Summary

Marketing Chief of Staff to the Marketing org at Cohere. Responsible for the operating rhythm, planning cadence, budget and headcount planning, cross-functional alignment across brand, editorial, design, product marketing, demand generation, and integrated marketing, and ensuring plans turn into shipped work. You’ll partner with the VP of Brand to translate priorities into executable programs, manage cross-functional handoffs, governance around dashboards and data pipelines, lead special projects (reorgs, flagship events, agency relationships), and provide leadership leverage to give the VP back time by carrying the plan and execution work. The role demands strong real-time operating discipline, blunt but clear communication, and the ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced marketing organization. Encoding success through measurable planning, fewer last-minute scrambles, and a coherent, company-wide narrative will be a key focus.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of operating experience in a Chief of Staff, business operations, or senior program-operations seat within a marketing org
  • Practitioner’s understanding of demand generation and account-based marketing in a B2B context
  • Comfort with marketing and pipeline metrics and with running a budget
  • Track record of bringing order to a fast, complex org without grinding it to a halt
  • Clear writing, straight talk, and ability to hold senior stakeholders to a plan
