Marketing and Communications Specialist

Job Summary

Develop and execute marketing and communication campaigns supporting company initiatives and business objectives. Create, edit, and maintain content for emails, newsletters, websites, social media platforms, presentations, and marketing collateral. Ensure consistent application of brand identity and visual standards across all internal and external communications. Coordinate design, production, and distribution of materials including brochures, flyers, and digital assets. Manage website content accuracy and schedule social media posts according to established calendars. Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to gather information and deliver quality work on time and within budget. Proofread materials for grammar, spelling, and adherence to branding standards. Organize digital marketing assets and support internal communications through employee announcements and engagement materials. Assist in planning company events, trade shows, and recruiting initiatives as assigned. Maintain organized project files and stay informed on current marketing trends and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Experience with Canva
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional proofreading, editing, and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and marketing best practices
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, and email marketing strategies
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar) preferred
  • Familiarity with website content management systems, including WordPress, is preferred
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues, leadership, vendors, and external partners to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Proficiency in coordinating virtual meetings and presentations using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar collaboration platforms
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by remaining current on marketing trends, communication technologies, and industry best practices
