Job Summary
Marketing and Communications Intern responsibilities include creating brand-aligned content, supporting events and trade shows, coordinating social media activity, producing new content, writing copy for social media and marketing materials, generating reports on website traffic and PR activity, maintaining content libraries, updating website content, and performing various marketing operations tasks as needed. The role requires hands-on experience with Adobe tools (Lightroom, AfterEffects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator), familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Suite, strong writing skills, and interest in robotics or maritime. A BS-focused trajectory in marketing/communications is expected, with 2–4 years of coursework completed toward a related degree. Internship, project, or club experience marketing products and ideas is advantageous, as is videography and AI-tool experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completed 2-4 years of coursework towards a B.S. in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Hands-on experience using Adobe Programs such as Lightroom, AfterEffects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, Word, and the Google Suite
- Strong written skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with and without AI tools
