Job Summary

Marketing Analyst at Rakuten International focused on turning complex data into actionable insights. Responsible for owning and monitoring key business and marketing KPIs, translating business problems into analytical frameworks, and delivering actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include hands-on ML model experience, cloud data warehouse proficiency (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), and experience in e-commerce/growth analytics. Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related role
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, window functions, performance optimization)
  • Strong Python skills for data analysis (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
  • Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and analytical best practices
  • Experience with experimentation, hypothesis testing, or causal analysis
  • Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot)
  • Proven ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and communicate insights clearly
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted coding and analytics tools (e.g., Claude Code)
  • Experience building and validating ML models (regression, classification, clustering, time-series forecasting)
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Background in e-commerce, marketing, product, or growth analytics
  • Experience deploying or monitoring ML models in production environments
  • Familiarity with deploying/analyzing ML in cloud environments
