Job Summary
Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, emergency departments, behavioral health providers, and community organizations during evening and overnight hours. Conduct outreach to establish connections, promote facility services, and represent the organization at networking events and healthcare functions. Respond promptly to referral inquiries, assist with admission requirements, and coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient transfers and admissions. Track referral activity, submit daily activity reports, and monitor census trends while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies. This position supports the behavioral health facility's census growth goals and admission processes.
Required Qualifications
- Some college/university education
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel locally to referral sources as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Typical schedule: Evening and overnight shifts (example: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM or as assigned)
- Rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare marketing, admissions, business development, or behavioral health experience
- Experience working in a psychiatric hospital, behavioral health setting, or healthcare environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities
- Knowledge of behavioral health services and referral processes
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic referral tracking systems
