Job Summary

Review daily and monthly Independent Price Verification, Prudential Value, Fair Value Reserves, and Levelling results for Commodities and Energy trading positions. Recommend approval for new trades, Day 1 revenue recognition decisions, and oversee Quarterly Fair Value Levelling and Prudent Valuation processes. Enhance optimal fair value methodologies consistent with regulatory technical standards, define modeling requirements for illiquid products, and assess key valuation risks. Develop relationships with front office traders, external stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure valuation processes support client services. Engage with senior stakeholders across the bank to implement all aspects of valuation control. Requires ACA, ACCA, CFA, or FRM qualification with strong analytical skills. Hybrid working model available.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of valuation aspects of Commodities Energy products
  • Some understanding of accounting and prudent valuation requirements, best practice and market developments
  • Accounting and or Risk Management qualification: ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM and/or MSc in Finance or an Economics related degree or equivalent experience
  • Commodities product knowledge
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to team members, peers and senior stakeholders
  • Hybrid Working

Desired Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM and/or MSc in Finance or an Economics related degree
