Job Summary
Hire, train, and manage a team of Personal Training Managers and Assistant Personal Training Managers while coaching club leaders on client engagement, acquisition, and retention. Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with Market Partners and Managing Partners to review performance, motivate goal achievement, and master CrunchOne Kickoffs for member conversions. Ensure accurate PT administration via dotFIT, maintain staffing and certifications, respond to member inquiries within 24 hours, and report KPIs and action plans to Executive Leadership. Drive excellence through club visits, audits, continuing education, and resource alignment to hit revenue targets. This role requires up to 75% travel and reports to the Regional VP of Personal Training.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience as a personal training manager
- Prior management experience leading 15+ employees
- Demonstrates integrity and judgment, confidence, humility and kindness
- Basic understanding of fitness industry, market and key business drivers
- Understanding of labor control, optional staffing levels and controls over time
- CPR/AED certification
- American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification
- Certified Personal Trainer certification
- Health Fitness Specialist certification
- American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification
- Personal Trainer Certification
- The Cooper Institute certification
- International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
- National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer certification
- Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certification
- Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) certification
- National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
- National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
- National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification
- International Sports Sciences Association (with NCCA accreditation) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification
- Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs
- Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Up to 75% travel
