Job Summary
Market Manager oversees department sales and profits, leads department personnel, maintains product levels and quality, ensures food safety and presentation in market and seafood departments, and promotes customer service and sales-building practices. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners; planning, assigning and directing work; performance appraisal; inventory management; reviewing profit/loss, sales, shrink, and labor data; ensuring regulatory compliance and food safety; monitoring stock and display conditions; assisting with labeling, cutting and packaging meat products; enforcing safety standards; training team members; driving sales through suggestive selling; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; and effective communication with customers and partners. Required knowledge includes advanced operations across market departments, scheduling software, and inventory systems; strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; and age prerequisites (18+ with driver policy requiring 21+ to drive). Education/experience: High school Diploma or GED and two+ years related experience; prereq experience as meatcutter/apprentice/manager trainee preferred; Food Handler and Manager Food Safety certifications required. Physical demands include vision, standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, reaching, and exposure to cold and noisy environments. Required Qualifications

- Prerequisite experience as a meatcutter, apprentice, and/or manager trainee preferred
