Job Summary
Follow weekly sales programs to attain maximum volume and achieve budgeted gross profit figures. Prepare all meat records, unload trucks, maintain coolers and freezers, and ensure inventory control. Uphold sanitation, safe food handling, and security guidelines while assisting guests and maintaining customer relations. Consult with the Store Manager for operations reviews and advanced planning. Schedule the department, ensure compliance with company standards via ALI audits, and hold direct reports accountable to productivity goals. Personally train staff, build a talent bench, and execute development plans for high-potential individuals.
Required Qualifications
- The skill and knowledge generally associated with a high school education and 1-3 years meat or supermarket experience
- Must be 18 years old
- Ability to lift 50lbs, occasionally and 25lbs. constantly
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Knowledge of meat operations
- Ability to supervise people, including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements on the job
- Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts for extended periods of time
