Job Summary
The Market Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for assessing and mitigating shrink for assigned stores through management of policies, procedures, programs, and conducting investigations related to theft, fraud, and misconduct. Key responsibilities include investigating merchandise thefts, supporting stores with loss prevention training, managing store safety and security systems, and developing communication with store leaders. The role requires a minimum of three years of experience in loss prevention, strong judgment skills, and effective interpersonal abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in loss prevention in a retail service-oriented business
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Efficient planning, prioritization, and implementation of detailed instructions
- Ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates within company standards
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior interviewing/investigation certification such as WZ or Reid
- Higher education, including two- and four-year degrees related to criminal justice preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid state issued license
- Travel within assigned market, some overnight travel required
