Job Summary
Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in the Market Grille, greets and assists customers, helps locate products, takes and fulfills customer orders at the counter, operates the department registers, ensures food safety and cleanliness, prepares and replenishes product, and collaborates with team to maintain a positive shopping experience. Requires basic numeracy and communication, the ability to handle food safely, and physical capability to perform moderate lifting; no formal education requirement; location handled via store in Grinnell, IA. Primary duties include customer-facing service, order accuracy, inventory support, and adherence to department policies.
Required Qualifications
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- No education requirement
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, 10 pounds constantly; ability to stand for long periods
- Must be able to work in a store environment with potential noise and hazards
