Job Summary
Market Executive on the Innovation Economy – Technology Banking team leads client acquisition and ongoing relationships with software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and AI-focused innovators. Build and brand the Technology banking footprint in the Boston/New England market, lead a team in business development, and manage a portfolio while coordinating with the firm to deliver credit, payments, and other solutions. Responsibilities include growing relationships, leveraging internal resources, driving strategic discussions across solutions, remaining market-alert for industry trends, and ensuring risk appropriate management. The role emphasizes leadership, relationship-building with founders and innovative companies, and staying current on industry developments, with expectations to obtain FINRA licenses within 180 days if not already held. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services with knowledge of the region
- Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
- Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales team with proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely
- Creative solution and problem solving abilities and excellent business judgment with the ability to multitask
- FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
- Strong technology experience; digital background preferred
- Excellent organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Self-directed, proactive, and creative: use sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things done
