Job Summary
Market Executive in Emerging Middle Market Banking for the Metro New York City region leads a team of four to six bankers, maintains a portfolio of clients, grows profitable banking relationships with Middle Market companies ($20 million to $100 million in sales), and provides financial advice while directing team efforts. Responsibilities include championing innovation, staying abreast of industry trends, identifying efficiency opportunities through automation and new tech, hiring and leading a banking team, and achieving sales goals. Required qualifications include a decade of relationship-management experience in Commercial Banking, knowledge of regional products/services, ability to mobilize internal resources, proven sales performance, leadership of a commercial lending sales team, and strong communications. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training, strong technology/digital background, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and self-direction to navigate ambiguity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services with knowledge of the region
- Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
- Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales team with proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely
- Creative solution and problem solving abilities and excellent business judgment with the ability to multitask
