Job Summary
Lead the Plant Operations Department by directing maintenance and biomedical engineering teams, overseeing hospital buildings, clinics, and building systems to ensure 24/7 quality service. Manage budgets, plan facility improvements, and maintain preventive maintenance programs while coordinating utility sources and Life Safety systems. Act as the facility Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with TJC, CMS, AHJs, NFPA, and Code standards, including staff training and seismic safety protocols. Direct engineers and biomedical engineers to meet hospital standards, JCAHO requirements, and Title XXII regulations. Requires CHFM certification, CDL, and 10+ years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in facilities related field
- CHFM Certification
- CDL
- Must be willing to travel between the 2 facilities - San Luis Obispo and Templeton
- Must meet the qualifications as described in the job description
- Must be within posted salary range
- Management Experience Required
- Knowledge of CA Healthcare Facilities Operations
- Knowledge of and experience working with CDPH and HCAI, including all aspects of Code, Compliance, and Seismic Safety
- Experience with Organized Labor, Staffing Productivity
- 10 years progressive management experience with at least five years management experience in hospital/healthcare setting
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school education and additional five years trade experience
- Two to three years Managerial Experience in health care environment
