Job Summary
Market Development-focused role across multiple titles (Market Development Representative, Senior Market Development Representative, Account Director) centered on growing NGL product sales and relationships. Responsibilities include engaging with customers and operations, preparing transportation arrangements for NGLs by pipeline, railcar, barge, and truck; negotiating term and spot sales; developing new business relationships; maintaining databases and forecasts for production, inventory, sales, pricing, and revenue; preparing reports for senior management; performing market analyses and competitive assessments; and potentially leading sub-teams to deliver results. Requires experience in midstream oil and gas, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with customers, operators, and internal/external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree)
- 3+ years of related experience for Market Development Representative
- 5+ years for Senior Market Development Representative with minimum three years' gas/NGL market experience (for Senior)
- 7 years of related experience with minimum five years' gas/NGL market experience (for Account Director)
- Knowledge of marketing, economics, and finance principles
- Knowledge of DOT and Hazardous Materials guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to speak persuasively, negotiate, and develop rapport
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
- Ability to plan and organize work schedule independently
